This November, Galway will join cities like Budapest and Cologne in the tradition of hosting a Christmas Market. With lots of traders to choose from you will be sure to find the perfect gift for all of your family and friends. Galway’s German Style ‘Christmas Market’ on Eyre Square will run from November 25th to December 18th, with up to 70 stalls with Handmade arts, crafts, gifts, German Beer and Hot Mulled wine, there is something for everyone.
When your finished with shopping, why not cross the road to the Imperial Hotel Galway which is also on Eyre Square and relax in our Bar or Restaurant.

November 25th to December 18th
Monday - Wednesday: 10am - 8pm
Thursday - Saturday: 10am-10pm
Sunday: 1pm - 6pm
Similar to those in mainland Europe, the Galway Continental Christmas Market, will be the first of its kind in the West of Ireland, and it will transform Eyre Square in the heart of Galway City into a magical winter wonderland from 25th of November to the 18th of December this year. The atmospheric mini-town land will be a gift for the senses featuring traditional Bavarian and Irish Stalls, selling quality goods, to be enjoyed by all the family. Seventy wooden chalets will be constructed; retailing food, beverages and goods from all over Europe with over a third of the chalets being occupied by local traders.
